Maker Starter Kit Includes:
- 4x - Metal Base Plates
- 16x - ⌀1.6mm x 4.5mm Torx T3 Screws (for plastic or wood)
- 16x - ⌀1.6mm x 3.0mm Torx T3 Screws (for plastic or wood)
Recommendations:
You will need a Torx T3 screwdriver. Sometimes a Torx T4 screwdriver works, depending on the manufacturer. Get a set that has both T3 and T4 and use T4 if it fits to prevent stripping.
Purchase our T4 screwdriver here.
Download our starter file in .step format via our Discord. This file can be imported into any 3D modeling software to give you the exact profile and hole locations of the Base Plate. If you're new to 3d modeling, we recommend getting a personal version of Fusion 360. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube, and it's free for non-commercial use!
We recommended using at least six screws in your designs and the four corner screws are a must. These screws are not recommended for metal, but work great on plastic (including most 3d printer material) or wood. Holes should be ⌀1.30mm with 1.60mm lead-ins recommended. You could also grind the tips of the screws if you need them shorter to accommodate your design.
