Protecting the Humpback Whale with Gowings Whale Trust

In concert with our FCS partnership, we are proud to announce a collaboration with the Gowings Whale Trust.
The Gowings Whale Trust increases people's knowledge, involvement, and understanding of the Humpback Whale through public education. These majestic mammals play a vital role in maintaining the marine ecosystem there they help regulate a vast spectrum of marine organisms. They are also key players in global cycling of environmental resources like carbon and nutrients, which makes them even more significant in the face of global warming and climate change.
Among its many initiatives, GWT has created 'Whale Futures' - a certificate that acknowledges any donation made towards further research and conservation of the Humpback.
Sea Shepherd Conservation Society
In 2016, GWT formed a partnership with the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, donating a rigid inflatable board (RIB) chase boat named 'Whale Warrior' which sits onboard the new Ocean Warrior vessel and is used to fight illegal whaling activities off Antarctica.

Gowings Whale Trust sells a range of branded merchandise at the at the Concierge Desk at Coffs Central and Port Central shopping centers as well as though their online store. Proceeds from these GWT items go to fund selected research projects focused on the life, habits, and preservation of the Humpback Whale.
