"The brilliance of the Versa58 lies in its refusal to accept the binary choice of “stock vs. modded.” Keyport has engineered a way around this with a proprietary spring steel interface plate..."

"The MagMount system is absolute genius, using three tuned neodymium magnets to create a crisp, satisfying connection. This allows for the quick assembly of pocketable rigs or keychain tools."

"If you carry a 58mm Victorinox daily and you’ve ever wished it did just one more thing, the Versa58 is a direct answer to that thought."

"SAK lovers can expand their existing multi-tool with a versatile array of additional functions, courtesy of Keyport’s mods."

"What if you could modify your Swiss Army knife with modules of your choice? That's what Las-Vegas-based EDC company Keyport is enabling with their Versa58 system."

Your 58mm SAK Could Do So Much More
The classic SAK (Swiss Army Knife) is brilliant, but limited by design.
Here's how Versa58 expands what your SAK can do:

📎 ADD A POCKET CLIP
No factory pocket clip option exists on any 58mm SAK. Versa58's Clip Scale adds low-profile pocket carry to any model. Reversible design lets you choose your carry style. Finally, your SAK rides comfortably in your pocket.

🔦 ADD MODERN LIGHT
The 58mm SAK's LED was discontinued on most models. Versa58's Pocket Flare adds a powerful 45-lumen USB-C rechargeable light to ANY 58mm SAK. Three modes: low, high, and lamp. Finally, real illumination when you need it.

✍️ Add a Premium Pen
Pen functionality is now only available on Signature Lite and Mini Champ. Versa58's Pen Module adds a precision German Troika pen to ANY 58mm SAK. Smooth writing, no rattle. Always ready when you need to sign, jot, or sketch.

💾 ADD DIGITAL STORAGE
All Victorinox SAK flash drives were discontinued years ago. Versa58's Flash Drive Module brings USB-C 3.0 storage (64GB or 256GB) to your 58mm SAK. Secure, portable file transfer whenever you need it.

🔑 KEEP YOUR KEYRING FUNCTIONAL
Versa58's reversible deep carry Clip Scale can be configured in either direction. Use the clip for pocket carry, and the keyring to dangle your EDC key setup in your pocket. Or use the keyring for a lanyard pull.

⏱️ CHANGE ANYTIME YOU WANT
Traditional scale mods are permanent, glued or press-fit. Want different features next year? You're stuck. Versa58 modules swap in seconds with zero tools. Your SAK evolves as your needs change. Add scales now. Swap them later.

How Versa58 Works on Your SAK
Transform your 58mm Swiss Army knife in three simple steps. No tools. No glue. No permanent modifications.
1. REMOVE SAK FACTORY SCALES
Takes 10 seconds. Your SAK stays completely intact. The brass rivets that hold the scales are now exposed and ready for Versa58 scales.
2. SNAP ON VERSA58 SCALES
Each scale independently attaches to the mushroom-shaped SAK rivets using precision-engineered spring steel. Secure hold. No screws. No adhesive. No damage.
3. RECONFIGURE AS DESIRED
Your SAK now has the features you always wanted. Want to change scales tomorrow? Remove and swap in seconds. Want to go back to factory scales? They snap right back on.
Beyond the SAK: The Magnetic System Explained
Versa58 scales attach mechanically to your SAK (as shown above).
But the magnetic system unlocks even more versatility.

Versa58 Frequently Asked Questions
Any Victorinox 58mm SAK with Cellidor (plastic) scales: Classic SD, Rally, Jetsetter, Rambler, Midnite Manager, and MiniChamp. Not compatible with Alox (aluminum) models. Quick rule: if the sides are smooth plastic, you're compatible.
Don't own one yet? The Classic SD is the most popular and widely available. All compatible models are on Amazon: Classic SD, Rally, Jetsetter, Rambler, Midnite Manager, MiniChamp.
No. Any two Versa58 scales connect magnetically via MagMount for standalone use - no SAK required. Build a pen+light keychain combo, or pair a clip with storage for minimalist pocket carry.
The magnetic connection is also naturally fidget-friendly - the satisfying snap and smooth rotation make MagMount builds as fun to play with as they are functional.
Bonus: The Pocket Flare sticks to any metal surface via MagMount for hands-free lighting during repairs, camping, or tight workspace tasks.
No damage. The Interface Plate engages the same brass rivets that hold your original scales - no drilling, no glue, no permanent modification. Your SAK remains completely intact.
Removal: Soak in warm water for 60 seconds to soften plastic (optional if you plan to reuse scales). Use a thin blade at the tweezer/toothpick notch and apply slow, even twisting pressure to detach the front rivets. Move the blade to the middle of the scale and repeat to detach the rear rivets.
Installation: Align Versa58 scale's larger holes over exposed SAK rivets. Press the scale down towards the SAK while sliding back to engage the locking arm. You should hear a slight snapping sound.

They both use magnets and both work with Versa58 scales, but they go on different things and solve different problems.
MagMount plates attach to scales. When two scales each have a MagMount plate of opposite polarity, they snap together into a compact standalone tool - no Swiss Army Knife needed. One plate includes a loop for keychain, carabiner, or bag attachment. This is the "use Versa58 without the knife" option: a Pocket Flare paired with a Pen Scale on your keychain, a USB-C Flash Drive paired with a light in your bag, or whatever combination fits your day.
MagDock plates attach to the knife. Each MagDock plate has a built-in Interface Plate that mechanically connects to your Swiss Army Knife, just like a standard scale. Once a MagDock plate is on the knife, any scale with a MagMount plate of opposite polarity snaps on magnetically instead of mechanically - pop the Pocket Flare off to use as a work light, plug in the USB-C drive, then snap the scale back on when you're done.
Used together, the connection chain is: Swiss Army Knife → MagDock (mechanical) → MagMount on scale (magnetic) → Scale. You get magnetic quick-swap on the knife and standalone pairing off it.
Easy way to tell them apart: MagDock plates have a built-in Interface Plate on one side. MagMount plates do not. Both are laser-engraved with their name and a + or - polarity marking - a + plate connects to a - plate.
The Interface Plate is the (patent pending) backbone of Versa58's mechanical attachment.
Every Versa58 scale includes an Interface Plate pre-installed - you don't buy it separately.
Standalone Interface Plates are sold separately as a Maker Kit for makers and modders who want to build their own custom scales for the Versa58 system.
Yes. Install one scale on each side of your SAK (front + back), or connect two scales magnetically via MagMount for standalone use. You cannot stack multiple scales on one side.
