Auto Checker

All Metal Keys
If your auto key is all metal and does not have a plastic head, it is compatible with the Keyport Slide. Just include a picture of the key on your Key ID Form when you place your order.

MOTORCYCLE KEYS
The Keyport Slide is compatible with nearly every motorcycle key except Harley Davidson cylinder keys.

PLASTIC HEAD
If your vehicle was built after 1995, there is a good chance your key contains a transponder chip inside the plastic head.
Option 1: Attach your plastic head key to the D-Ring on your Keyport.
Option 2: Purchase a transponder chip for your Keyport and get it programmed. Programming may require on-board programming (by you), cloning or harvesting (by Keyport), or third party programming (by a local auto locksmith) depending on the make, model, year of your vehicle.
If you are not sure if your auto key has a transponder chip, please send a picture of your key along the the Year, Make, & Model of your vehicle to helpdesk@mykeyport.com.
While a key may be compatible with the Keyport, there are rare cases where the ignition itself will not allow access to a Blade extended from a Keyport (for example, the steering column shifter on some Chevy and GMC models with automatic transmissions). Keyport cannot guarantee a lock's accessibility. In these cases, the Blade may be removed from the Keyport and attached to the quick-release lanyard.
FORD
Issue: Black plastic key housing restricts Keyport from entering ignition.
Known Models Affected (various years only): Mustang, Expedition, F-150/F-250/F-350, Econoline
Resolution: Pop off ignition housing with flat tip screwdriver. You can use as is or you can mod housing like image shown below. If you send us the part, we will perform mod for $10.

JEEP
Issue 1: Flashing Issue doesn't allow aftermarket chip to be programmed.
Known Models Affected (various years only): 2013-2014 Wrangler
Resolution: Must send in working buttonless sentry key for chip harvesting and conversion. Buttonless keys can be obtained from Jeep dealer. You may also attach electronic Jeep key to Keyport and use separately.
Issue 2: Locking doors via Lock/Unlock button sets off alarm on re-entry by unlocking doors manually with Keyport Blade.
Known Models Affected (various years only): Wranglers and some other Jeep Models w/electronic entry/alarm remotes.
Resolution: Starting vehicle disarms alarm. Doors must be locked manually w/plunger to prevent alarm on re-entry. When Wrangler doors are removed, this is not an issue. You may also attach electronic Jeep key to Keyport and use separately.
CHEVROLET/GMC/CADILLAC
Issue: Column mounted shifter on automatic transmissions hits Keyport when shifting into gear
Known Models Affected (various years only): Silverado, Blazer, Sierra, Suburban, Yukon, Express, Escalade
How to Test: Extend 3" piece of paper from ignition while in park & shift into drive. If shifter clears, Keyport should work.
Resolution: Attach auto key to your Keyport separately.
